The idea that all life is held and connected within a vast, entangling mesh feels sacred to me. To be held in something infinite, to be an infinitesimally small part of the whole feels sacred to me.
This drawing is made from repeated small marks which together form a mesh-like structure. Every movement my hand makes influences the patterning the marks make, each mark pulling on the last and responsive to the next. I work from the outside of the image, drawing into the centre. Every tiny mark, often imperceptibly, influences the final drawing and the places it appears to fold and gather. The centre remains open, alive with infinite possibility.
